Today. Today started off rough because I woke up at 9:30 after going to bed at 5:30. It was a fun night so I was paying for it a bit in the morning hours. I was up this early because I had a walk around Granada with my Islamic Culture class. Rachael had class today today for a make up day but she wasn't going to go so it was just me leaving this early! I ate breakfast and got ready, then I made sure that Michael was awake and going, and then I headed out to the CLM.
When I got there, there were only people from the other class there and I was worried that Michael was going to ditch out on me, but he didn't and he just showed up a bit late! The walk was boring, I'll be honest, but we did get to see an arabic bath ruin that is underground. That was the highlight of the tour.
We walked around the main part of town looking at the history there and then we went up to the Albaicin and that is when Michael and I had enough of the walk because we were not up for that. We went, but not happily, and then we left after 2 hours of walking around. The tour was supposed to last an hour and a half long but it went way longer than that because we left before it was done. Here are some pictures from the walk.
After the walk, Michael and I stopped by Subway and I got a baby sub for a euro and he got a meal. The baby sub was the perfect size and I had salami, pepperoni, lettuce and tomato on it! That was all that was allowed, so I took it all! I miss subs like that!
After Subway, we walked home and then I went back to bed until lunch time because I was exhausted. I spent the rest of the day resting, even sleeping more after lunch, and hanging out. I was planning on studying but I couldn't get in the zone.
Around 7, Rachael and I decided that we wanted to go to get churros at Cafe Desi, the place that we tried to go before but they were closed. This is also the place that Wes wanted to get to before he left but he ran out of time. We met up with Michael and then walked over there. It was sprinkling a little bit but once we sat down, it started to rain harder!
The churros were a million times better than at Cafe Futbol and I wished that we had went here earlier, but it was probably for the better for the sake of caloric intake. Both the chocolate and the churros were better, hands down!
We waited under the awning where we were sitting outside before continuing to go home because we wanted the rain to stop. It stopped so we left, but as soon as we left, it picked up again. It was a battle that we couldn't win!
When we got home, we hung out until it was dinner time and we had pizza for dinner. We survived a ham and cheese patties dinner. There was a soccer game on that Mila was really excited to watch because it was the King's Cup and someone called her right before the game started and she said "This is not the time to call, this is the time to watch soccer!" It was really funny because she was dead serious too.
After dinner I almost fell asleep just sitting in my bed so I decided to go on the computer and screw around on there. I showered and then went to bed at 11. It was a day of relaxing and sleeping, and it will probably be the last time that this happens because I need to study for my finals.
