Midterm Monday

Today I woke up knowing it was going to be one of the longest days of my life, school wise. I would be spending almost 12 hours straight at CLM.

I started off the day going to school 30 minutes early, 9:30, to get some last minute studying in. I then went to my grammar class and Islamic culture. In both classes we reviewed for the midterms and went over last minute questions.

Then it was time for my grammar midterm! I thought it was fair but I wished I would have studied some more because I knew I had overlooked a few topics when I was studying. Oh well, nothing I can do about it now. Only hope for the best!

I got done with my exam at about 2:10 so I planted myself on a chair and ate my bocadillo and finished up my homework for my POE class. I also went on the computer and did some last minute organizing with my dad about the cruise and other things.

The time actually went by pretty fast (an hour and 20 minutes) between my exam and my next class. I then went to my POE class and we had a debate like class about controversial topics. We were practicing our hypothesis sentences. We also decided not to have a midterm because it was not necessary and the same material would have been on the final anyways.

After POE I went to the computer lab and printed off the parade routes for Semana Santa and my parent's flight information. I then hung out with Helen for the rest of the time and tried to study, but we both couldn't accomplish anything.

In my next class, Spanish Civilization and Culture I listened to presentations about familiar festivals in Spain and then gave mine, with Helen, about birthdays and Santos. I thought my day was going to be over then, but it was not the case.

I went to a food tasting presentation in the CLM after all of my classes. This lasted about an hour and we got to try different hams, oils and a desert. It was all very good and the desert was my favorite. It was a piece of bread with chocolate or cocoa powder, a little bit of sugar and olive oil. It sounds disgusting but it was awesome!

I left the CLM at 9:00 pm, 11 and a half hours later than arriving in the morning.

When I got home it was time for dinner and then I studied the rest of the night away.

A LONG but productive day, indeed!
