One Month Until USA

Today marks the one month until I return home to the USA. It is a bittersweet feeling, but more sweet than bitter. I am getting ready to go home and I feel like my time here is running out. Although I still have a few trips to go on still, Portugal, Nerja and Barcelona, I am getting to the point where I am ready to get going. Spain is an awesome country, don't get me wrong, but spending just under 5 months away from home is a VERY long time. You miss a lot of things, and of course, a lot of people. I know that I miss hearing English and understanding everything that I hear. It is exhausting to live in a another country that doesn't speak your primary language and it can be frustrating to not be able to understand others or to get your point across.

Okay, that is my little mushy-gushy rant about Spain, here is what happened today!

Right after Rachael left to go to the gym, the doorbell rang and I assumed it was her, so I went to the door and was saying "Rachael" but I was getting no response. The person at the door kept on saying hello and let me in and even shaking the door handle but I was scared to open the door. Eventually Mila came out of her bedroom and she was like who is it and I said I think it's a man. She was confused and then she opened the door, only to find her best friend (or the friend that is always over) was standing there. This person is a woman! I was so embarrassed  I quickly ran to the room and hid there until she left.

Went to class, learned, came home and showered, and ate lunch. I was too lazy to shower the night before, which is very uncommon (NOT). At lunch I reminded Mila that we needed bocadillos tonight and then I was off to class.

In POE, we finished up our movie and then talked about it the rest of the class period and did activities. During my break I talked with Evan the whole time and was on my computer just randomly looking things up. In my Civ and Culture class we learned more about stereotypes in Spain and then started giving our presentations on festivals in Spain. I was supposed to give mine today, but we ran out of time, so I am going to give mine on Monday when we return back to class.

After class, Rachael and I booked it home because we had to eat quickly and then meet at the Neptuno mall for a movie night with SOL. We ate our bocadillos and apples and then we were off. Right outside the theatre there was a candy shop, so we stopped there and got some goodies before going to the movie. The group voted on seeing the movie Warm Bodies, but in Spanish it is called "Memorias de un Zombi Adolescente". I thought that the movie was very good but I will not give away anything about it!

After the movie got done, we returned home and hit the hay soon there after!
