After Skyping my family and sitting on the computer, Rachael and I took a quick nap to help us gain more energy for the supposed to be long night ahead of us. When we woke up we just sat around and waited for dinner to be ready, at 10:15 pm. We were lazy bums and decided not to walk around the city.
At dinner, Wes suggested that we go to a tea shop later that night to chill and just hang out. Since Rachael and I have never been to one, we agreed and left the house at about 11:00 pm to walk to the tea shop.
When we got to the tea shop, it was a dark room with stairs going up so we went upstairs and sat down on a couch with 3 small tables and chairs with cushions on them. Service is very slow in Spain and it took about 10 - 15 minutes for the waiter to come upstairs to see what we wanted. There were people across and next to us eating tapas and smoking hookah. We each ordered a different tea, I order chai, Rachael ordered something that was fruity and minty and Wes ordered a fruity and minty tea with lemon.
The delivered the piping hot tea to our table soon after but we didn't dare to drink it until it cooled off a bit. We all tried each others tea and Rachael's tea reminded me of the tea that I get at the dentist. (Hence the name of the blog post)
When we left the tea shop the 2 guys that were smoking hookah were outside waiting for us -- they checked out right before we did -- and I was thinking they were going to ask us for money or jump us or something. Clearly, that was not the case because they asked US to take a picture of THEM. Now they were the tourists and not us. Change in roles.
We then walked home and Rachael and I stayed up until up 2 am talking with our friends back home in America.
First full day of Granada, Spain, COMPLETED!
