Saturday night.
After Skyping my dad, Rachael and I ate our last dinner together, because the new roommate moves in on Sunday (today). We have been worrying about it ever since Wes left because we didn't know how she was going to be. Mila shocked us when she said that she was moving in tomorrow instead of the week after, like we expected. When we were getting ready, I got to talk to Wes! It was nice to hear from our old roommate but definitely made us miss him not being in Spain and going out with us.
Rachael and I met up with Michael, Leah and Maggie and we were off to find Babylon, another chupeteria/pub. After walking around in the pouring rain for an hour and getting lost, we finally were back where we started, by our houses. We then called our friends and they told us how to get there. It was pretty frustrating that we walked around FOREVER, but thankfully I opted to wear flats and not heels :)
When we got to the chupetiera/pub, we met up with Adam, Amy, and Chelsea. Michael and I started off the night right and took a shot of Bailey's and chocolate. Talk about heaven in a shot glass! Wonderful! This place had options of 100 shots to take. Rachael and I also took a shot of vodka, lime and kiwi. The kiwi was interesting... but not too shabby. This is the list of the shots that they had.
A random guy decided to buy everyone a round of shots, if he got to pick the shot, and he picked number 14, the one that had 5 different types of alcohol. Tequila, rum, vodka, whiskey, and gin. I decided to NOT take the shot because I was not ready for all that in one.. good choice on my part because everyone who took it said that it tasted like gasoline.. ew!
We decided to go to Camborio after Babylon and took a taxi up there. We all got in for free this time, so it was a win win. There was an open bar with free beer and tinto de verano until 1:30 am. We all had a few tintos! When I was getting my second one, the bartender filled up my cup and then jokingly handed me the pitcher of it all. Needless to say I would've taken it, he took it back and smiled.
We then danced a bit and then Rachael, Michael and I decided to leave and go to Granada 10 (diez). We took another taxi there and then we went inside and realized that this wasn't our comfort zone. There were guys who danced like no other... they could move their hips like Shakira and look damn good doing it. I fell in love with Spaniards last night! We also learned that we need to learn how to dance like the girls and move their hips.
We left Granada 10 and went home. Leah, Maggie, and Adam never did make it there, we think they were too tired and went to bed. Rachael and I stayed up until 5 am just on our computers talking to people back home and watching movies.
We woke up at 10 and that was WAY too early so we tried to sleep until about 11:45. We had to wake up then because Mila takes the breakfast away at 12 so we needed to eat fast! After breakfast we went for a walk along the river, that now has water in it from all the rain that we have had the past couple days!! We ended up walking for about and hour and 15 minutes and it was a very beautiful day.
When we got back, Mila left to go pick up the new girl and we just sat around and waited for her to get back and for lunch. When we met her, she was really shy and timid and did not talk much.. We were kind of confused because you would think she wanted to get to know her new roommates. Her name is Lynette and she goes to U-Conn and is not part of SOL, the program Rachael and I are a part of.
We ate lunch and I took a long nap! We then went for a walk with Michael and Lynette and it was raining once again :/ darn rain! But I did find this really cool and large leaf!
I'm going to Skype Brynn tonight, then eat dinner and hopefully be able to watch the football game that is on tonight! No big plans for the evening because it has been a long weekend!
