La Vida de Pi

Wednesday. Hump Day. Came around fast.. I like it!

Class was normal. The day was nice. 2 little naps to re-energize.

Started to look at excursions for the cruise and hotels for my parents to stay at. I can't wait for Semana Santa (spring break) because I am so prepared to be able to show my parents around town, especially to the Cathedral and Capilla Real. I have taken this place in like it is my own, well it kind of is. My home for 5 months!

Wednesday evening we had a movie night at the cinema with our group. The cinema was designed very interestingly! You bought your tickets outside, then walked up a half a flight of stairs to get inside. You then went left up a full flight of stairs where a man was standing to rip your ticket. On that floor there was about 4 cinemas showing different movies, and then another half flight of stairs up to the concession stand. They sold popcorn and soda, and probably a bunch of other movie food, but I didn't buy anything to remember. We then went up another half flight of stairs to get to our theater  There were about 4 theaters on that floor as well. Quite the building! (You buy tickets on the left side.. not pictured here)

Our group had two choices to see: La Vida de Pi or Vovler a Nacer. (Life of Pi or Twice Born) Both of the movies are English movies, dubbed in Spanish, without subtitles. I chose to see La Vida de Pi because I wanted to see it in English in the United States. Such a great moving, although a bit confusing in Spanish. Makes me want to read the book (I would recommend seeing the movie as well!). Going to the movie theater made me realize how much I doubt my Spanish skills because I did end up understanding a good chunk of the movie.

** The poster says in 3D, but we only saw it in 2D**

After the movie we returned home for dinner with Lynette and then we called it a night because it was getting half late and we wanted to get a good night's sleep.
