Hiked it and Liked it! - Los Cahorros

Saturday morning was an early one for us, waking up at 6:45 am! Too early for our liking! We ate breakfast and walked to the bridge, the meeting point of the start of our adventure. We took a bus to the bottom of a mountain, in a small town.

We walked uphill on a road, then eventually went off onto a trail that was a little mucky from the rain. From there it was hiking! There were olive trees everywhere at the bottom of the mountains. This must be where they get all of their olive oil from, because it seems like it is used for every dish!

We then ventured on more and began to walk more uphill. It was definitely a leg workout, especially being so early in the morning! There were a lot of cool rock formations and trees growing in cool spots. We also saw a waterfall and a stream, that was gushing from all of the recent rain! It was a lovely sound to hear :)

After a little more trekking, we got a bridge, like a draw bridge, and we had to cross that. Only 4 people were allowed on the bridge at a time due to how sturdy it was.

This bridge was small in comparison to the other one crossed! It seemed to go on forever! Luckily I am not afraid of heights, but rather get a rush from doing risky things like that! Throughout the walk, there was a small dog that was leading the way for us. We have no idea where he came from or if his owner knew he was gone, but he was adorable and made me miss Sparky!

Here are a few more snap shots from today's hike!

After we got to the bottom of the mountain, where the bus dropped us off, we were given an hour to wander the town before the bus came back. Because we were so tired we decided to just sit on the stairs and watch the cars drive by. This was our view! Such a quaint and pretty city, with a clear blue sky!

The rest of the day we relaxed, and I Skyped my mom and dad. Tonight we are going to Granada 10 with some friends from SOL and we plan on making it a short night, because we are so tired!
